What about talking? Is that allowed? Only certain topics? Only if you know the person? Or maybe you don't know the person? Are there different rules if the other person is your boss?

A photographer friend of mine was covering one of the political conventions. Probably 2004. He's a chipper guy. Always loudly enthusiastic.

He's at a urinal in the convention arena, looks to his right, and Wolf Blitzer is peeing at the urinal next to him.

"Hey, you're Wolf Blitzer!" my friend yells.

Wolf stares at him and says "You always talk to strange men at the urinals?"

"Only when I watch 'em on CNN!!"

Urinal in the house? I dunno.

To prevent the thing from stinking to high heaven, you'd have to be willing to absorb a sizable water bill. And you'd still have the water bill from the still-needed toilet.

I agree, though, that the to-the-floor urinals are the best. My school had them, but I think sometime in the 80s, shorter urinals became de rigueur. Not that I've looked hard, but I don't think I've ever noticed to-the-floor urinals at Lowe's, but they have partial kind.

I blame Reagan.

The last place I saw a trough was the LA Sports Arena.

City Stadium in Richmond had the waterfall slabs of you peed against.

...then you need to make your way to Chicago and take in a game at Chewing Gum Field as they're still the dominant **** option there in the building. If you wash your hands afterwards you'll be in the minority there.

That's the small one.

The obvious answer is there is no room in the bathroom for a pisser and a ****ter.

Have you seen some of these bathrooms people have these days? It's ridiculous. Who needs open space in a bathroom? A bathroom is a room of function. Zen bathrooming is bull****. You go into a bathroom, handle your business and leave the bathroom. Maybe you read or play on your phone while ****ting, but you're ultimately there to ****. There are more comfortable, if admittedly less private, places to do those things.

But people insist on these huge ****ing bathrooms. Well, if you're going to have a huge ****ing bathroom, at least add a ******* urinal.

Take out the double vanity - seriously, you can't both brush your teeth in one sink - and put in a urinal.

Who among us hasn't pissed in a sink while drunk?

You can say the same about a trash can, shower, bath tub, basement floor drain, vagina, alley, backyard, garden, bottle, bucket, etc.

Yes, albeit briefly. But I'd trade one of my lesser toes for an in-house urinal.

Every time I wait in line to pee at a sporting event, I lament the demise of the trough.

Who decided the trough needed to go away? Are there any newer venues with troughs? I love the ones at Wrigley and some other old stadiums.

Sure, modern urinals provide a little more of a buffer between you and the guy next to you. But when I'm choosing between missing part of the game or squeezing in between two guys at the trough, I'll take the trough.

Stadium bathrooms should be all about efficiency. Bring back the troughs!

And then there is the whole great outdoors - the nature pee.

Trees, bushes, whether on hiking trails, golf courses, or even on front yard landscaping.

Also urban settings, where my list includes Baltimore and Boston alleys. (crossthread top drinking cities)

Yes, gentlemen, the whole WORLD is our URINAL!!!

I'll never forget being at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans one time and seeing a line 10-deep to **** behind a dumpster. Even better is that there were a few women in the line, too.

More fun with urinal troughs. They make a dandy substitute for a Slip N' Slide.

Can't believe Im going to participate in this thread...

Here's some urinal behavior that bugs me: Don't use the little kids one if you're an adult. Hate when I take my son and there's a grown up using the little one. And he can't always wait long.

On another note: whenever I see the empty kids urinal it makes me miss my son.

Fact: it's not a kid's urinal, it's a handicap urinal.

Really? Not to sound crass, but how's that work? Doesn't handicap imply "wheelchair"?

I have no idea what this means. Do you think people in wheelchairs don't pee?

If you can't stand up I don't think you can use a urinal. And if you can stand, why do you need a shorter one?

You can say the same about a vagina.

I didn't know you were German.

Sometimes I like to see if anyone is reading.

Other times I like to urinate in vaginas.

What's the slang term for that?
Making a pitcher of lemonade?
A golden bath?
Swizzle sticking?
