Kobe scores 60 against the Grizzlies last night, his third straight game with at least 50.

Discuss.

Anyone?

And where is the beloved Rokski? Haven't heard anything from him since Kobe's gone on his little scoring spree.

Yep. Chuck it up 37 times. Outstanding.

and hit 20!

Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Kobe Brryant...
Only players in NBA history with 50 or more 3 stright games

Who else is supposed to score on that team? Odom? Parker? Bryant desperately needs a number two (a Pippen to his Jordan, if you will), otherwise he'll end up becoming the 2-guard equivalent to Wilt Chamberlain.

I can't stand Kobe, but what he's done the past three games in awfully tough to do. And quite impressive.

I agree. That's why I say big deal (snooze....).

Yeah, 20-of-37, what a horrible shooting night. I mean, who wants a guard to shoot 54 percent from the floor. That's terrible.

I never questioned his field percentage. Good for him.

Didn't Bernard King score at least 50 on all three games of a Texas road trip during his peak with the Knicks?

It is a big deal, and quite an impressive one at that!

Personally, I'd love for him to make a run for Chamberlain's 100. It's damn near impossible for anyone who's not a center to do it, but I think Kobe could.

Nope, only 2

How do you know he's scored 50 three straight nights? Were any of you in that room?

Incredibly well played, sir. Bravo!

I can't stand Kobe. Sure, he has a lot of skill, but honestly, who would want to play with him.
Players flock to teams like the Mavs, Spurs, Cavs, Heat and Suns because while there are superstars on the team, they know they won't have to deal with a ball hog like Bryant.
Nobody is rushing to join the Lakers anymore.

Someone who is hungry for a title -- probably their last chance for a title.

And, funny enough, Wilt AVERAGED 50 a game in that 1961-62 season. (And 25 rebounds, so he was a 50-25 guy almost every night.)

Another fun fact: A regulation NBA game is 48 minutes, but Wilt averaged 48.5 minutes per game that year. That's because the 76ers played 10 overtime games and Wilt never left the floor — he went the distance in 79 games and rested only 8 minutes ALL SEASON.

I think he fouled out of those games -- or at least most of them.
