There are two more huge fires torching Southern California. Both started last night, fanned by 60 mph Santa Ana winds.
Santa Ana winds blow toward the ocean, the opposite direction of normal offshore breezes. Most of the region's most devastating fires are the result of Santa Ana winds.
The fire in Santa Paula might reach the Pacific Ocean. At 10:45 a.m., the wind is still blowing like crazy.
