Sorry but she absolutely was framed by the drunk cops in the house who hit him, causing him to fall and fatally hit his head while the German shepherd was attacking him. There is really no legit evidence that she was involved and plenty of proof of a coverup.

The nephew accused of beating up O'Keefe seems like he's a gem.

It's still suspicious when you get rid of the family dog and tear out the carpet in your basement after someone died outside your home, after there was said to be a fight in the house and a claim of bite marks on the victim's arm.

Karen Read is smart enough and connected enough and financially solvent enough where she can fight this, unlike 98 percent of criminal defendants.

Her lawyers have continually played Turtleboy like a fiddle with well-timed leaks.

The DA's office is a mess. I've never heard a DA in my life threaten media members who reported on the case — under the guise of "don't report rumors" — until Mike Morrissey did.

The fired trooper who bragged about what a piece of ass Karen Read was… seriously, don't write down anything.

Mysteriously the assistant fire chief who lived across the street had issues with his surveillance camera that night and all footage went poof.

It smells funny to me. I really haven't read/heard plausible explanations for some of that stuff. I’m also a jamoke who’s just following the case in the media.

You left out that Read's friend had to admit in trial 2 that she lied about what Read said in trial 1.
Humdinger of a scene Monday and Tuesday as the prosecution's expert witness was exposed as a fraud in a scene right out of Perry Mason...turns out he didn't actually have a degree in accident reconstruction, he's been lying about that for years and dozens of trials...which explains why he nuked his LinkedIN account over the weekend.

Yeah, I had read that. The dead boyfriend was with her at 2 bars and went late at night to a 3rd place to have more to drink. If you believe her side of the story, why would she have gotten up in such a panic pre-dawn that he wasn't home a few hours later that she started calling people, especially as she had been his driver and he had no way home.

Committing the sin of quoting myself but had the same thought again watching the documentary. Not that this absolves the prosecution of meeting their burden of proof, but I can’t get past this fact. These two appeared to be somewhat professional drinkers — people in their 40s who are going to two bars and then a house to booze. I simply cannot believe that she would weave home, pass out on a couch and then freak out when he isn’t home pre-dawn a few hours later instead of just thinking he passed out/is sleeping it off.

When does prosecutorial/police misconduct rise to the point of inability for the defendant to have a fair trial? If we aren’t there, it’s pretty close. As I said, lots of unlikable people here. Karen Read is so confident she’ll be acquitted that she’s been seen regularly on the town for the past couple months.

I saw one of her supporters in a black hoodie with "Team Karen Read" in big, pink letters. I overheard her on the phone tell someone "I will make you a Karen Read bracelet for when I see you at the meeting."

This woman never heard the name Karen Read three years ago, doesn't live near Canton, and has nothing in common with her besides their gender. Why is she so wrapped up in this? Is it just some anti-cop sentiment?

I’ll admit I don’t know what to make of this case. I know a lot of people I can’t stand really want Karen Read to be acquitted but that doesn’t mean anything.

I really can’t stand Turtleboy, in part because of the abuse his followers gave one of my former coworkers who is a genuinely good person and a true professional.
