Not my favorite politician ever, and a lot I didn't like about him as a Congressman... but he was an extraordinary man and a human rights advocate who took a stand on many atrocities others avoided acknowledging. RIP.

I really knew nothing of his background until today. And, as with Ragu, his politics were not my cup of tea. But, truly, a great servant of the public.
