See Coke Classic, which supposedly was only coming back for a "limited time," and promptly blew New Coke completely off the planet.

If Throwback Pepsi sells well, I am sure Retro Coke will be only weeks behind.

It would be a hoot if they brought back New Coke. Who knows, it might work this time.

New Coke actually hung around for about five years after Classic Coke came back. I distinctly remember members of our high school football booster club handing out New Coke tallboys in the locker room after home games as late as the fall of 1988 ...

Yesterday I spotted Mexican Coke in a bottle at my local Costco.

Bought a case yesterday. $18 for case of 24. Expensive but good. The glass bottle helps the taste.

Coke and Pepsi are both so much better in a bottle. I hate that Coke uses their signature glass bottle in ads but make it almost impossible to find at the grocery store.

I've found a few glass Coke bottles (usually novelties or specialties). At a tournament game I did a few weeks ago, they had Diet Coke in small glass bottles. Not too bad.

I very much dig the Throwback Pepsi ... the taste is more balanced (the big problem with HFCS Pepsi is that it's too sweet and syrupy) and the aftertaste is very sweet. This would make me a Pepsi drinker in a heartbeat (and I've always been a Coke drinker).

The closest they sell Heritage Dr Pepper is in the town 25 miles south of here (Our Dr Pepper distributor is the Coke plant, which doesn't have it; their's is the RC plant). They only sell it in 12-pack cans but it's the same price as regular. So if I happen to make a trip down there, I get two packs.

And it's soooooooooooooooooo worth the trip :D

They were selling Throwback Pepsi and Dew here but it looks like that run might be coming to a close. There were only 2 case of Pepsi at Walmart yesterday and no Dew. Nobody else in town sells either.

Hell, they're still selling Cherry Pepsi here in boxes and bottles with the old logo. (But yet, DIET Cherry Pepsi comes in boxes with the new logo.)

The Throwback Pepsi and Heritage Dr. Pepper have disappeared quickly in my area (there were a few stray bottles at convenience stores, but they're mostly gone).

However, discovered Mexican Coke at my local grocery for $0.99 a bottle. Popped open a bottle yesterday and thought it might have been the best soda I've ever had. A lot of people are nostalgic for glass-bottle sodas because they remember them being good, and they assume the packaging (glass > plastic or aluminum) has something to do with it. In reality, it's because sugar was used in the glass era, HFCS in the plastic era.

Throwback Pepsi is a little sweeter than Mexican Coke, but the aftertaste for both is tremendous, and they both taste more natural and less chemical than their HFCS counterparts.

Costco is carrying it. I found some at both of the major chain grocery stores in my area. One of them had it in glass bottles very discreetly tucked away on a far corner of the soda aisle. The other had it in the international foods section.

If you get Mexican Coke, check the ingredients. Some contains HFCS.

One of the bright spots here in Afghanistan is the Coke with real sugar. I'm not a soda fan, but that's some goooooood stuff.

Heinz ketchup has a no corn syrup version on the shelf call Simply Heinz, I think.

It is much better than the regular.
