It's hard to generate that desirable lean-and-hungry energy when you're buried under lobbyists' checks.

I think you have at least show you want the presidency a LITTLE. Thompson listened to too many people who told him how easy it would be and he'd be like Reagan 2K8. His effort wasn't going to motivate anyone to vote for him.
