you know, just reading the charles schulz biography that came out a couple years ago and was thinking about the future of the daily syndicated comic strip. whatever happens to newspapers, reporting will carry on in some form—actually many forms.

but i wonder if syndicated comic strips are a purely 20th century phenomenon

Both the Non Sequitur and Pearls Before Swine comics are great. Both were in my former paper on Monday. I didn't see them until today, but when I did I immediately wanted to start a thread about them.

I believe he was commenting on the irony of syndicated columnists saying newspapers shouldn't give away free content on the Internet, when their comics are available for free on the Internet.
