Masseuse therapist with ties to Ohio State uses her services as a way to entice athletes to sleep with her.

Ohio St. bans masseuse for inappropriate actions

The firm found that the massage therapist used two methods to attempt to initiate sexual encounters -- isolating the student-athletes to get them in a vulnerable position or sending out "overtly sexual messages and see[ing] if she could engage their interest in a sexual encounter" -- according to the report.

“lives roughly two hours north of campus.” Isn’t that halfway to Lake Erie?

Damn near in Lake Erie. You can be in Sandusky or Cleveland from Columbus in just over two hours if you leave when traffic isn’t bad.

There is no other shorthand for "female authority figure takes advantage of teens/young men." I don't like violating poin's rules, but I did what I had to do.

The woman has denied the charges. Here's a photo from what appears to be her Facebook page.

A massage therapist is an authority figure?

She was involved with the football program, no matter how tangentially. If I were some kid trying to keep a scholarship and she was saying "we better bang," I'd probably take that direction.

Note from the story: "The firm found that the massage therapist used two methods to attempt to initiate sexual encounters -- isolating the student-athletes to get them in a vulnerable position" — she wasn't inviting them over for afternoon tea.

I'm not talking about her intent. I'm just questioning describing her as an authority figure.

Sorry, that's a massive fail.

She's a massage therapist, not a teacher.

And the Ohio State football team bangs cocktail waitresses ten at a time. She was THEIR appetizer that day.
