These folks better have a good sense of humor; or, Whitlock burns many bridges

After you get past Whitlock's ego, there's some funny lines in there, especially the Marriotti stuff.

She's going to get violated again?

I don't think the incident is funny. It's kinda scary (yeah, the 12-year-old who lives in my brain thinks differently, but I would never write what he thinks).

Clearly, Andrews doesn't think it's funny.

I understand what he was trying to do, but readers don't gerenerally care about sports reporters, and it came out a little mean-spirited.

Also, I just don't think he's sexy.

Agreed. I laughed more than a few times.

I find it interesting he bemoans a hatchet job on him, and then lays out one on a dozen or so of his colleagues.

Quite funny, yes. Got a kick out of it.

I can't take anyone who lives up to the stereotype of a black pimp seriously.

That was a juvenile piece of ****.

But how do you REALLY feel about it? :)

Sorry, I may have been unclear. I didn't care for it. ;)

Let me know how you did this.

Amen, IJAG.

Seriously.. Whitlock jumped the shark a long time ago. He's not funny, he's not hip .... he's just another asshat columnist trying to stick a finger in our collective eye.

Maybe if he spent less time hanging out on the Ball State message board and more time coming up with column ideas, he'd have a fresh take once in awhile.

Seems to have been written directly for the folks at SJ....not sure the general public will get any of the jokes.

But I did like this:

Mike Lupica: His Parting Shot on the next episode of "The Sports Reporters" will touch on the emotional scars he carries from paying his way through Boston College as a human bowling ball in the American Dwarf Bowling Association.

Dear Jason,
Mr. Lupica is not a member of the American Dwarf Bowling Association. We here at the ADBA take our mission very seriously. Mr. Albom is our media representative. Please get it right in the future.

Whitlock was already enemies with all those guys for the most part.

I don't mind attempts at humor, but I didn't laugh at this one.
