I don't know when the last time the Kentucky Derby winner ran in the Preakness and didn't go off as the favorite, but that could be the case on Saturday. Bodemeister, second in the Derby, is the morning-line favorite of 11 entered in the Preakness. It'll be interesting to see what the bettors do.

I've said the same thing ever since the minute the Derby was over. But Mike Smith really pushed him in the Derby, and coming back two weeks later is tough. He'll be the favorite the whole way, but I think it's clearly a two-horse race for the win. This is a relatively weak field outside of Bode and IHA.

That is very true. Whenever the Derby or another horse race has that many entrants, it's like NASCAR at Bristol trying to get through traffic to get to the front.

BALTIMORE – Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux was replaced by Ramon Dominguez aboard longshot Tiger Walk for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes after Desormeaux failed a Breathalyzer test at Belmont Park on Friday and was removed from his three mounts by that track’s stewards.

Watch out for dozens of Johns Hopkins drunks shaking beer cans, then opening them in your face. In terms of broad, low behavior, it's probably worse than Churchill.
