JRC's (or DFM, or whatever the company's alphabet title is these days) Connecticut-cluster publisher Matt DeRienzo writes an editorial July 19 urging a local hole to un-invite Nugent, which didn't sit too well and generated feedback galore (311 comments): http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2013/07/19/opinion/doc51e9827f5056a328273080.txt

Then Matt writes an editorial the other day linking Nugent and the KKK/racism to Fox: http://nhregister.com/articles/2013/07/29/opinion/doc51f70217192fd096312627.txt#comment-982916621

That didn't sit too well, either, so today Matt writes a mea culpa but O'Reilly ran with it and planned to have a spirited debate tonight: http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2013/07/31/opinion/doc51f995cc3a333682375150.txt

On a local note, I'm surprised a hipsterish locale like Toad's Place would be interested in a guy like Nugent...

Hey, beej, welcome back! I guess I'll be handing my posting crown back to you in a couple months.

DeRienzo was the guy who complained to Romanesko about his criticism over the word "****s" in a headline. He's the one who whined that they hadn't cut copy editor jobs, they merely had given them a lot more work, so it wasn't management's fault.

Well, it brought BYH back (do I win a prize?), and it's actually an interesting story and ... wait, what was the question again?

Fantasy football brought him back:

He came for fantasy football but stayed for the chance to hate DeRienzo. Win-Win for him.
