Interesting thing about this season is the lack of spoilerage. By surfing the fan sites and checking out spoilers, I usually have a pretty good idea who the final four will be (along with a couple of wrinkles in the game). This time, nothing.
Methinks we haven't seen the last of Gabon - if there's ever another All-Star or Fans vs. Favorites...

The only major spoilers I've ever seen about Survivor were last season it was the worst kept secret that Fairplay was the first to go. I also remember during the all-stars season finding out that two people left the game on their own, one to tend to a sick relative and another for reasons unknown. Both ended up being true.

Amazing Race is the one that can never seem to keep a secret.

So yesterday I'm half watching this movie on cable while I'm working. It's probably a dozen years old, about a small group of friends including Cameron Diaz, Ron Eldard and Annabeth Gish (yum). The guy who's basically the lead looks so familiar, but I just can't place him, and can't figure out where else I've seen him. His name doesn't seem familiar.

It bugs me to the point that I hit up IMDB. At the bottom of a list of movies I've never hear of, there it is: Survivor. It was Jonathan Penner, who was on fans vs. favorites. If I ever knew he was an actor, I'd forgotten.

Was it "Last Supper"

Great film. Very dark and funny. If memory serves, Jason Alexander had a bit part.

It was Last Supper. There's actually a ton of people in it -- Charles Durning, Mark Harmon, Bill Paxton. Not a bad flick, but Penner looks so young, and it was so out of context, I'm not sure I'd ever have placed him without teh googles.

And the Olympic athlete looked like a crap athlete. Dress or no dress, shouldn't a gold medalist be able to climb a hill better than a professional video game player? Hello?

but her shoes weighed 10 pounds

I think it was her ass that was the problem, tx.

They need to make bikinis the official team uniform for the ladies of Kota. Mmmmm, Corinne!

hey, she's the one who used that as an excuse. but ya gotta wonder how she competed in the olympics with that caboose.

Anybody watch last night? Sugar pulled perhaps the dumbest move in Survivor history when she volunteered to give up the idol because everybody knew she had it. Well, Einstein, if everybody knows you have, why the **** would you give it away? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

This season is just not doing it for me. Nobody really stands out. There isn't much strategy involved because most of the players are so lame. I don't think there has been one person bounced from the show yet that was really pissed off about leaving. It's just dragging.
In the good seasons, you see moves early on that change the dynamic of the game. Strong players get bounced early, crap happens that impacts what happens the rest of the way - I haven't seen anything like that and we're what? six episodes in?

Penner was in Seinfeld for one episode. I believe he got run over by Kramer and Newman's homeless-powered rickshaw.

she got it back later

I realize that. But she had to take it back and only after somebody else told her how stupid it was and that she should keep the idol with her at all time. It's like saying, "Hey, I just won the lottery! Eight million bucks! But since everybody knows I have the ticket, why don't you hold it for me?" Moronic move. Had she not went and taken it back, I'd love to know if Ace would have given it to her or tried to oust her that night and keep it for himself. He's going to need it.

They should oust Crystal, and then Sugar, Kenny and Matt should turn on Ace, who will be easily duped at that point into believing that he still has Sugar on his side and that he has convinced Matt to turn on Kenny.
If you're a Fang member, you're throwing challenges at this point to get to merge.

At this point - I'd like to see a challenge where everyone competes for immunity, but there isn't a tribal council, they just pull a name out of a hat.

Anyone watch? Randy is one of the most disgusting human beings I've had the displeasure of observing in a long, long time. Ugh.
