The Union Democrat is seeking a full time sports reporter to become a part of our award winning news team.
The successful applicant for this job will be assigned to cover the local sports scene for a daily newspaper published Tuesday through Saturday. Job duties include covering sports across ten school districts including four high schools. Assignments include gameday coverage, follow up stories as well as feature sports writing.
Quality writing, strong interpersonal skills and a passion for sports are required. The ideal candidate can meet tight deadlines, is hard working and has a good understanding of a variety of sports.
