Sports Reporter - 00010102
Description
The Daily Journal's Sports Department has an opening for a full-time reporter. Job requires mostly evening and weekend hours. Compensation is based on hourly rate; mileage expense reimbursement is paid monthly. Applicant must have a valid driver's license and use of a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance is required. All applicants must have the ability to write in a clear, interesting and accurate way. All interested candidates must be willing to develop working relationships with area sports coaches and A.D.s and have a good sense of what readers want to know.
Responsibilities include producing stories for the newspaper and Website by attending sporting events. Reporters must be able to take photos and videos to further add to the visual effect of their stories. Reporters also must be able to cover other topics.
