The Big Rapids Pioneer is looking for a sports reporter to round out our talented team.
This reporter will be responsible for coverage of local, area-wide high schools as well as reporting on Ferris State University athletics.
Experience working in video, page design programs and social media are preferred. Strong photography skills would be a huge asset in this position.
As a key player on our sports team, your work will appear mainly in the Pioneer, our six-day daily newspaper, but you'll also be featured in our Osceola and Lake county publications.
The Pioneer Group newspapers are all part of a family owned company in which young reporters are encouraged to learn and grow in their profession. This is a great place to start for someone planning ahead with an eye to gaining experience in the field of journalism.
