The Chadron Record has an immediate job opening for a high school sports reporter. The position also includes other general assignment reporting, pagination and some general office work.
A passion for and knowledge of sports is desired, the ability to write clearly and concisely and to take quality action photos a necessity. This position is based in Chadron, Nebraska, located in the Pine Ridge area in the northwestern part of the state. Close to Chadron State Park, Fort Robinson State Park and the U.S. Forest Services’ Pine Ridge Ranger District and Oglala National Grasslands, Chadron offers abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. The city is also home to Chadron State College and the recently constructed Chadron Area Wellness and Aquatics Center.
This is a regular part-time position of 30 hours per week including some evening and weekend hours. We offer a competitive salary and full benefit package including: medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
