The Daily News is an award-winning, six-day newspaper in Northern California. [Editude]

One of the few remaining cowtowns in California. People read the Sacramento Bee on the weekends and the Redding paper (to the north) during the week, leaving Red Bluff in its stagnant world. Near Lassen, which is a fun place to hike and bike.

I covered Hancock College's women's hoops team when it and Lassen duked it out for a few years. Some of the best basketball I've covered, either side of the gender line. They played in the state juco title game one year.
