The Central Indiana News Group is seeking an experienced, motivated sports editor to cover sports in Miami County. This position includes providing direction for the daily sports report across digital and print platforms for the Peru Tribune covering local high schools.
The position also involves covering recreational sports and the active lifestyles of adults and children without ties to local schools — including but not limited to little league, soccer, bowling leagues as well athletics involving community events.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in journalism, familiarity with digital reporting, the ability to write quickly and take quality photos. It also requires strong organizational skills and good interpersonal skills. The sports editor must work well with members of the public and readers.
