The department is focused on high school and local sports, but also covers the Buffalo Bills' training camp in Pittsford and PGA and LPGA events that come to Rochester.
The editor writes stories, manages the department's sports clerk and works with the photo department. The editor also coordinates coverage through a stable of freelance writers and photographers.
The candidate should possess strong writing, editing, website, time management and social media skills. Strong knowledge of sports is a must. A bachelors degree in journalism or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
