The Daily News of Longview, Washington, is seeking a Sports Editor. While our sports coverage has a strong local focus – beginning with high schools and Lower Columbia College – this is a job with few limits and plenty of opportunity for trying new approaches.
Qualifications
Previous newsroom management experience is a plus, but we will consider talented journalists seeking their first position as a Sports Editor. Our Sports Editor supervises a staff of two reporters and has also doubled as a reporter and columnist. Other desirable qualifications include experience with web content management and/or page design. Candidates should have at least three years experience in a full-time position covering sports for a daily newspaper.
