SPORTS DESIGNER

The Los Angeles Daily News, a 150,000-plus circulation daily in the
San Fernando Valley, has an opening for a sports page designer.

We go head-to-head with the L.A. Times and like taking risks with our
section in both content and design. The ideal candidate can execute
innovative layouts under tight deadline pressure. At least two years
at a daily are required; copy editing experience is a big plus.

The Daily News covers all of the major professional sports teams in
Los Angeles, as well as UCLA, USC, Cal State Northridge, Pepperdine,
numerous junior colleges and nearly 100 high schools.

There's another thread for an executive SE for LANG papers, working from the Daily News office in Woodland Hills. Whoever gets this job will work for that person.

Anyone know if this is still out there? And, despite it being a Singleton paper, might it pay better than a mid-size (62,000) daily? ;)
