The Sun in Baltimore is looking for creative and energetic copy editors who want to be part of a team that strives to produce one of the best sports sections of its size in the country.

Ideal candidates would have: excellent editing and headline writing skills; strong news judgment and an ability to handle and update multiple files nightly; proven ability to meet deadlines and work quickly and accurately; and ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.

If interested, apply to Sports Copy Chief Andy Knobel ([email protected], 410-332-6659). Address: 501 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21278

The leadership here is fine, but let's just say that an incoming copy editor would have a chance to shine in an uninspiring editing environment.

Lots of plural words going on here. Was there a mass exodus or did corporate folks open up the purse strings for the holidays?

Andy, This is an intriguing post. Just wondering what level of experience you're looking for. Are these entry-level spots or open to experienced hands? Can't believe you won't get a lot of response either way, just looking for some guidance.
