The Riverdale Press, the Pulitzer Prize-winning community newspaper that covers the Northwest Bronx, is seeking to hire a versatile four-day-a-week person to cover local sports — mostly played on weekends — and to write copy for our advertising department. The position offers great training. Reporters who started here now work in the newsrooms of the New York Daily News, the Newark Star-Ledger, The Washington Post and USA Today, among others. We look for good writers who are hungry to learn and become better. If you’ve got a job and you’re looking for additional income, or you’re just looking for part-time work, we’re willing to split the jobs into two two-day positions. Send us a letter telling us what you can bring to our newsroom, along with a resume and a healthy sample of clips. Must include salary requirements.
