Unreal. I can't believe this happened. I'm floored by this.

I am part of the "Sirhan shot him and played the 'I was hypnotized' card and don't remember anything" crowd. I do think the security guard (the late Thane Cesar) pulled his gun behind RFK in the hotel pantry.

Honestly one of those people you figure you hear their name, the final word in the sentence is "dead."

He’s not out yet. From the Post:

The decision by the two-person panel will be reviewed by the full parole board for 90 days before it is final. Then the California governor, currently Gavin Newsom (D) who is facing a recall election which ends on Sept. 14, will have 30 days to uphold the decision, reverse it, or send it back to the board.

Two of the Kennedy children supported the application.

I’m sure this is a minority opinion, but if one of the goals of incarceration is rehabilitation, this sends a positive message. Fifty years.

Feels like it is a political hit potato for Newsom when once considers his own recall battle going on.

Manson couldn’t get out — obviously — but they’re gonna let this ****er out? Horse ****.

What about the other 38 kids? :)

Even though he's 89, you think Rosey Grier wants another chance at him?

And? Why would that diminish the assination of RFK?

Who said it did? If they let a guy who out who attempted an assassination on a president, why wouldn't they let out a different guy who assassinated someone who wasn't a president?

Point taken, TSP.

But, Robert F. Kennedy was a former U.S. attorney general, a senator, and was, well...Robert F. Kennedy, the brother of an assassinated President. By association, I think people practically saw RFK as the President, too, even though, as you pointed out, he wasn't.

It is interesting that Sirhan's release was/is being openly supported by two of Kennedy's nine still-living children -- second son RFK Jr. and youngest son Douglas Kennedy. I wonder how deceased fourth child David Kennedy, who was always referenced in relation to his actually having watched his father being murdered while he supposedly sat alone and watched the whole thing on TV, would feel about this? And, oldest daughter Kathleen Kennedy Townsend has been on record in the past as supportive of the death penalty and life sentences for violent criminals.

Are there really a lot of people who believe there was another shooter involved the night RFK was shot?
