I got the sense that he was trying to push Boozer into saying something about Mormons as well. When Boozer didn't bite the first time, Sid tried it again but got cut off.

That's exactly right, and it's crap.

The guy was on trying to promote a charity and Sid tries to bait him into saying something derogatory about Utah or about Mormons, knowing it would be controversial.

Boozer didn't fall into his trap -- though, he didn't really offer the strongest defense either -- and instead Sid looks like the ass that he is.
