Since I live in Utah and did/do all the Mormon stuff, I'm intrigued to hear what everyone else thinks about the Sid Rosenberg Mormon comments ...

Some friends out here asked for my perspective and I said "sometimes you have to forgive people simply for being douchebags..."

Mormons are a peculiar people and as one, it's not something to shy away from. I've heard worse.

Dayton - how do you expect us to comment if you don't tell is what he said?

You said you did all the "Mormon stuff" -- what does that mean? Do you have 3 wives?

It happened during an interview with Carlos Boozer.

No, but combine my two marriages and my total is two wives and a combined seven kids -- that means I've met quota.

And my apologies, I thought it was more of a national media news story.

A talk radio guy said something stupid and highly offensive? Well, knock me over with a feather.

So Sid Rosenberg and Helen Thomas walk into a bar....

A talk radio guy who is known to be a "recovering" alcoholic, coke addict, compulsive gambler.

. . . . and a guy who thinks it's his just due that he replace Fatso on the FAN when Mikeeeeeee retires.

There aren't many people on this earth as repulsive as Sid the Skid.

I was hearing about 20 minutes of Sid on my morning drive to work each day until they moved his show.

I know he has a very questionable past, and he's got a big ego and is horribly insecure -- but god help me, I kind of like him.

I'll give him this: He asks questions of people that others would only think of asking but never would. Perhaps because he's a ****, but the result is the same: Some interesting answers.

This is the controversy?

"But those Mormon people are crazy, aren't they?"

I know people get wound up over anything, but sheesh ...

What if he would have said "Those Jews are crazy?"

Personally, being able to roll with a punch when it comes to dealing with my religion is something that's just part of the territory. i just wanted to hear what other people think.

Or "those Muslims are crazy" . Maybe it takes one to know one. Sid the man who claims he was ready to kill himself by jumping out of his hotel room in Cleveland. Apparently a room with windows that did not open.

I don't know, I guess I'm a bit confused as I think about it.

"You know, those fundamentalist Christians are crazy."

"crazy" perhaps is the operative word, and how strong of a word that is.

Certainly, if somebody says, "That SF_Express is crazy" I don't take particular offense.

I got the sense that he was trying to push Boozer into saying something about Mormons as well. When Boozer didn't bite the first time, Sid tried it again but got cut off.

What a jerk. I've been to Utah many times and I don't feel like Mormons are any different than non-Mormons. They certainly don't try to push their religion on me.

If he was trying to bash Christians in general, I don't think it would have made national news either. If he was bashing Muslims, I'm sure it would have been a much bigger story.
