A University of North Dakota student was kicked out of school and forbidden from stepping on campus for three years as part of an alleged sexual assault.

The student wasn't charged, but the school won't readmit the student. The alleged victim faces an arrest warrant for making a false report and fled the state. The AP won't name her. I think the AP has a duty to name the woman in the case since the male's name is out there.

Understandable that they booted him out before the criminal investigation was completed. They have to ensure that the campus is safe.

But once he was exonerated, there's no excuse why they didn't lift the punishment.

Being a ND journalist with a column on Wednesday ... thanks for something local to write on. For some reason this isn't big news here and thus I didn't hear about it until seeing this thread. I am on the opposite side of the state though and it's a big state.
