Lots to do.

--Get lots of water
--Get packaged food
--Get money
--Educate or re-educate yourself on how to shut off the gas
--Make sure water heater is strapped securely
--Remove all heavy items from shelves or make sure they're fastened to the wall
--Gas up the car

I'll be interested to see if the science pans out and they have taken a leap in predicting quakes.

Reason No. 1 why I never let my tank get below half full when I lived in SoCal, and why I kept a tidy sum of cash hidden in the yard.

No forget cash and a burner in the trunk too. Maybe a blanket.

Always my thing when living in SoCal: Have at least half a tank of gas. If you had a 24-hour notice, it would be huge. And there would be a huge run on gas/groceries like a hurricane was coming into Miami, where I lived for more than three years and thankfully never had to endure.
