Too early for reports to be reliable, but saw something about a facility for developmental disabilities being targeted. Given that and the fact that I was thinking about visiting a friend in that town this weekend, this hits close to home in a few too many ways for me.

When I lived in San Berdoo several years ago, it had the highest per-capita murders of anywhere in the U.S.

Before I left, a guy was shot to death at a bar three blocks from my hoodish apartment complex. It was a bar I frequented on my days off -- like every day off.

But, still, three gunmen? What the ****?

Aside from his use of the word, "retarded", why?

That was he main reason. And nobody is saying the mentally disabled should have guns. I understand the point he was trying to make, but it doesn't hold water in this case, and the method he used to communicate that point is ****ty.

I would argue that most concealed carry folk are mentally handicapped.

I get that you're just trying to make a funny riff, but I suspect you'd be surprised at how many reasonable people, maybe even people you know, concealed carry.

Most of the people I know with cc permits are quite down to earth, and most have good reason to carry. There are a couple that make me scratch my head, though.
