Jim, who I have long admired and have even fed a few nuggets from time to time, is way too enamored of headline typos and **** jokes.
He must be growing more influenced by his click stats on stuff like this.

Im just glad I made it through our six-conference state track meet last weekend without hitting the I key while trying to type shot put.

I'm always paranoid I'm going to leave out a certain letter in flag on a NASCAR story.
 
One of my papers once ran a story about a local team being awarded a plague.

Story, headline, cutline: The plague was everywhere. ... The plague looked like a plaque to me.
 
It is changed now, but as you can tell from the link, the headline originally said:

"Family cat saves Bakersfield boy from attacking dog"

I'm always afraid I won't catch it when I type turd instead of turf. Nothing worse than the quarterback lying on the turd after a playoff loss.
