Last year, I was playing a well-known short course with friends and colleagues. One of the holes is a blind shot with a big sitting area around it. A large group was in front of us, and when they left the green, I played first.
I hit a good shot, and then all those bros acted like it was an ace. Whooping and hollering and dancing around.
I was pretty happy, raised my arms and high-fived my playing partners. It's was a legit good shot.
But it didn't go in. They faked it.
I hate the Golf Bros.
Later, a couple of them came up to try to laugh it off. "Sorry, bud, all good fun."
My response:
"**** you."
And walked away.
