You're quitting your current job because you didn't win the lottery? YOU'RE HIRED!

Seems like an asshole thing to do. Am I missing something?
Not at all. This relationship is doomed. There’s going to be a time when she wants to hit a 5-iron and he says, “I’m telling you, hit the 4.” She’ll never know if he’s serious or just vindictive.

I was watching some of last week's tournament, and it occurred to me, "it is only late July, and there are no more majors. The golf season is basically over".

Just seems weird.

Don't give me the fed ex playoffs.

I miss the PGA in August.

Geoff Shac covered that in his substack today, proposing that the R&A push back the British. The major season does fly too fast.

"His face looks so happy. He was sweating. He was trembling. He couldn't believe his luck, and we had to tell him it was fake and he nearly quit the job."

Yep, would be nice if that became permanent.

Yeah, don't know if they will. Would dovetail nicely by having it end on the first Sunday of August. Just swap the Women's Open (this weekend) and The Open. There's still enough light this time of year to have everyone tee off on 1 all four days.

Edit to add 2032 Olympics in Australia are July 23-Aug. 8, one week later than L.A.

That Charley Hull crap just pisses me off.

I wish I had enough money to stake the guy for a couple months so he could quit, have a short vacay and search for a new player who isn’t a terrible person.
