In 2017 the WTA signed a five-year deal with some Qatar-based network called beIN. The network was dropped by Fios, Comcast and DirecTV a few months ago and reaches half as many US homes as Tennis Channel. I have no idea how many people were able to watch the season-ending WTA Championships (not me).
Recently the Tour saw the writing on the wall and canceled the US-rights portion of the deal and gave them to Tennis Channel.
Guess their current CEO is to blame for that ****up.
