rotator cuff surgery

It would almost have to be, right? Almost all pre-Asian Dong threads were nuked.
Yeah. I tried to find something from 2005 (or maybe 04?) not too long ago and it was not there.

We should be proud, I guess, that he went to such lengths to avoid a d_b. "Somewhere there's got to be a damn thread on this!!"

I wanted to see if anyone was paying attention. I am the guy who picks the pieces of fly dung out of the pepper shaker... I love randomness...
Just like I love Jesus... who else could even imagine a camel passing through the eye of a needle? Or in John chapter 5:14... This was after Jesus
healed the man at the Bethesda Pool... But in verse 14 Jesus catches up with at the temple and said to him, "See you are well again. Stop sinning
or something worse may happen to you." ... This is brilliant... the dude has been an invalid for 38 years and now he is healed... then Jesus says stop sinning or something worse may happen to you??? I mean what could be worse??? Death... or even a rotator cuff injury???

AND YES!!!!!!! THE RECORD IS MINE..... AND IF I STOLE YOUR DONKEY THEN I COULD SAY....

Was about to start a new thread, but the search function worked!

Three years after falling off a ladder (Gravity 1, RB 0), my orthopedic surgeon finally says it is time to repair my right shoulder. A partial tear, which I guess is better. But sayonara to my golf game (not to mention all the other assorted right-arm functions...) for a couple months.

Not thrilled about this.

I had shoulder surgery to repair a partial tear two years ago. I hadn't been able to serve in tennis for many years, but I prefer just hitting anyway, so I kept putting it off. But when doing something as everyday as putting on a t-shirt became quite painful, I knew it was time to finally do something.

I had physical therapy the day after my surgery (and for a few months after), was out of the sling in a couple of weeks, and I'm incredibly happy I did it. Good luck.

I know I need surgical repair of my rotator cuff but the various GPs I’ve seen over the years simply won’t let me see an ortho about it. The most recent request was countered with “he’ll only want to cut you open! Let’s try a third round of PT instead.”
Since it’s more of an annoying ache than a life-altering pain, I haven’t pressed the matter.

You can't go on to an ortho on your own? I f****** halfway live at my ortho office with never a single referral.

Have a work buddy who strained his calf playing soccer back in the winter/spring. Went to urgent care, then an orthopedic doctor, and they did all the tests and imaging, said it was just a strain, put him in a walking boot, etc.

About 6 weeks later, still not better, went back for a followup and they said it may be a torn calf, more tests confirmed it.

Another month later, still not any better and while visiting family out of state, went to an urgent care that was still in network. They looked at him for 5 minutes, poked his calf and said he clearly has a torn achilles and needs surgery.

He re-visited the original orthopedist with this information and was told too much time had passed since the injury, so they won't do the surgery. Said he just needed to build up the muscles around the achilles and live with it.

Dude is 30 years old and they are expecting him to walk with a limp and a torn achilles for the rest of his life.

My doc tells me I will be doing simple therapy stuff the next day, and may be out of the sling by the weekend -- which is good, because my left arm is useless.

I actually enjoyed the challenge of just using my left hand/arm for a while (cue the jokes). Brushing my teeth lefty felt weird, and I wasn't about to try shaving, but cooking, dressing, and going about my life with the opposite hand was interesting. Even played tennis lefty one day.

What about wiping yourself? That's the one to make me cringe ... and one of the reasons I haven't had my shoulder fixed. I heard it was 2 months in a sling, but medical things change.
