Loved that show at an older teen. Naturally, Tiffani Amber Thiessen was my main motivation for watching.

Kinda sad, in a way, that Dustin never really could get away from the Screech character, both professionally and personally. Supposedly, he would get upset at people calling him "Screech" because it was just a role he played and he wanted to move on from it. RIP.

I saw his stand-up comedy routine about 8-9 years ago at our local club. Horrendous. Just humorless filth and saying outlandish things, likely trying to get away from what you described above.

Hopefully he found some peace in recent years after his jail sentence. RIP.

Same here. I was graduating from college when it started. I've seen bits of it but it means nothing to me.

I did go to high school with the girl who played Tori in the last season, so I got that going for me.

In one of my recent gigs I was at a party with a bunch of millennials from the office (whom I liked very much) and this was playing on the TV toward the end of the night as a sort of common cultural touchstone, I suppose.

This is probably a pretty common thing for those of us who grew up in SoCal -- some minor connection to an actor who was part of a TV show.
