Sabine Schmitz, the first woman to win the 24 Hours at the Nurburgring and sometime presenter on Top Gear has died after a long fight with cancer. The Queen of the Nordschleife was 51.

F Cancer.

This clip is actual race footage. Watch how many cars she passes within the first minute. She was an artist behind the wheel, particularly on the 'ring, which she started driving when she was in her teens. She goes from near the back at the start to third in 6:44... in the rain.

That second vid is awesome. How many cars were in that race, 200? It looks like me racing down the 405 trying to get to LAX!

One of her side jobs was driving the Nurburgring taxi. You paid to take a hot lap in the passenger's seat with Sabine running the ring.

I suspect that there were people who lost bladder control taking that ride.

The Top Gear thing where she ran the Ring in a cargo van is pretty good, watching her pass motorcycles, BMWs and Porsches driven by more timid drivers.

That looks like Forza or Need for Speed video game trailer footage. Insane skill and, yes, balls of steel.

Dude, I would have taken that ride in a hot minute.
