He was only 81? He played an illiterate elderly convict - a contemporary of Henry Fonda - in Gideon’s Trumpet and that was 40 years ago. And I would have sworn he was in his 69s when he played Ron LeFlore’s dad in “One in a Million: the Ron LeFlore Story.” RIP

When I saw this I was thinking of Richard Benjamin. This had me about to tie in the Mad Magazine RIP because as a kid I always enjoyed the movie parodies. Whenever Westworld is on TCM I think Mad parody and I think Richard Benjamin. I also remembered Richard directing one of my all time favorite fun films, My Favorite Year. But then it turned out to be Paul...I got nothing but RIP "not Richard Benjamin".
