I think he meant that Lt. Van Buren didn't say thank you for a bit - so you really didn't know for like 10 seconds what happened. The tears came first, then the thank you. Glad they didn't kill her off, so to speak, even though she was leaving the show (if it continued ... wait, continues! C'mon **** Wolf!).

One of the links above said that TNT has a say in what happens to L&O, even if they don't want season 21... so if USA were to dive all over it, TNT can say hell no...

NBC could/should do three or four two-hour movies a year taking the most sensational cases of the year.

Loved the final ep, with a special hat tip to writer Rene Balcer. I figure the "John Locke" High School was a hat tip to Lost - and the "ticking clock" plot was better than 24's. Didn't recognize Lindsey Vonn, liked McCoy's blow-up.

And yeah - the phone call was good news. When a doctor tells you news over the phone, its always good news.
If I were Doc Jensen I'd suggest Van Buren's cancer was NBC and the donations and her engagement were an allusion to TNT paying for more episodes....but I guess I'm wrong.

L&O:LA getting retooled. Gone: Skeet. More: Molina.

I liked Skeet, but getting both Molina and Terrence Howard into every episode, instead of having them alternate, is a good thing.

Law and Order: LA looked and sounded like every other LA cop show. The guest actors in New York and the location shooting made that show. It was cold, there were ugly and fat people, it just felt more real.

Has anyone watched L&O: London? I saw a few minutes on BBC America, and I just couldn't get into it.

I actually like the UK show. I can recognize the original plots the were taken from and like I said earlier, it feels closer to the original than the LOLA does.

Skeet leaving doesn't bother me. Re-casting Molina in a sense might be a better fit. Too bad about Boone, she was cute. Overall, I like this show. I hope it sticks around.

I don't think it gets past this season though. Putting with SVU was an obvious choice, but no way does it stand alone on Saturday night.

Los Angeles is OK, but I'm really enjoying UK.

Oh, and polygamist Mormons do exist, down in Mexico. Not a splinter group, either, just way under the radar. L&O: Juarez soon?

This again? Oh my. The group in Mexico is indeed a "splinter group" that was excommunicated by the LDS church in the 1940s.

The LDS church has prohibited polygamy for more than 100 years and actively excommunicates those who try to practice it.

Seems just re-tooling the cast might not have been enough. LOLA has been pulled from NBC's schedule.

It should be, it sucked.

It just wasn't the same.

And I am the biggest Law and Order fan - outside of Fenian ******* - around. I even liked some of the criminal intent and a lot of the SVU episodes, which I know some L&O fans don't like.

But this Los Angeles show sucked.

Never saw the L.A. show. I used to be a regular watcher, and CI was, by far, the most interesting. Never caught one with Goldblum, though, so I don't know how he came off on those episodes.

Finally got around to watching the last season of CI with Goldblum and Safron Burrows. They were very well paired. Glad to hear they're shooting some episodes with D'nofrio and Erbe to wrap the show up later this year.
