Wow. I thought he was older than 44.

RIP, overweight lover.

(LOVED this song)

He did not look like a guy in his early 20s when he was at his peak. Must have been the goatee and glasses. They make us fatsos look mature.

RIP, overweight lover. I saw the last show of his original boys, before one decided to jump on the ledge of a Market Square Arena overpass over New Jersey Street (of which he fell off and down to the pavement below).

Great rapper and had a nice string of song. I ran into him maybe 7 years ago near my office and told him I was a fan. We spoke very briefly about his dancer who died (and was the inspiration for the song "They Reminisce Over You" by Pete Rock and CL Smooth). He seemed like a pretty nice and bright guy.

RIP

My favorite song by Heavy D will always be "Is It Good To You."

As an avid fan of New Jack Swing, I am ashamed that I never knew Aaron Hall sang on Now That We Found Love.

RIP to one of my faves.

I'm sure some of you will laugh at this but I don't think this is amusing: Some people can't tell Heavy D from Ruby Dee.....And it has caused some embarrassment.

Ruby Dee -- for those of you wondering -- is a celebrated actress and widow of veteran actor Ossie Davis.
