Oh, my it was an awful dump. Also, it barely held an American football field, so fitting soccer into it meant there was like two yards of room from sideline to walls.

In all of the tributes, the thing which rings through is that he was always coddled because of his talent even when he was pre-teen. As a result, everything he ever did was forgiven, he never really developed a moral center and he was used by those around him to a ridiculous degree.

Someone made the point that a Maradona in 2020 is an overmanaged recluse like Messi or Ronaldo. He’s in prefect shape and only gives quotes which are vetted by his team of advisors. The appeal of Maradona to many was not just the surreal talent but the ******* who got away with (almost) everything.
