Sorry to see this. He helped bring a lot of EPA cleanup help to the town where I worked/lived in the U.P. Always seemed to be more of a statesman than some of the reps/senators we have now.

Whenever you watched C-SPAN committees, he’d always be the guy that asked the questions that cut to the heart of the matter and seemed to make the most sense.
