Far down in the story it calls her the "ultimate power ballad diva," so I guess that's what they were getting at.

RIP to the patron saint of songs people would never admit to liking, but deep down they did.
I first took notice of her when she hit the charts with "It's a Heartache," a song that was heard not only on the Top 40 stations, but the country stations my mom and dad listened to. It was a more "down-homey" song than the ultra-produced numbers she would eventually be known for.
Also, it wasn't until about a year or two ago I found out my favorite Bon Jovi song "You Give Love a Bad Name" (Hey, they were great in the '80s, FU) was a total redo of one of her songs "If I Was a Woman, and You Were a Man." Desmond Child wrote it, had the publishing credits on that tune and redid the lyrics around the medley, so there was no plagiarism controversy.

I posted Total Eclipse in the Mic Drop thread. This is the title track from the album. Rick Derringer, Max Weinberg and Roy Bittain all are featured but it’s worth a listen to hear Rory Dodd go absolutely bat**** crazy at the end
