Three-sport star at Duke. Member of both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame. Also played briefly with the Philadelphia Athletics.

The day that Pearl Harbor was attacked, the football Dodgers played the Giants, and as the story goes, the Dodgers found out about the attack listening to the radio at halftime. Parker reportedly started wandering around in shock, asking everyone what they were supposed to do.

If I had to hazard a guess, he's probably was the last living player from that game, which had to be one of the most surreal experiences in sports history. RIP
 
Was the second-oldest living former major leaguer — behind Conrado "Connie" Marrero, who is 102 and alive and well in Cuba.

One of a handful of former MLBers to reach the age of 100.
