Ridge Wallet?

Anybody ever use a ridge wallet? I've been checking them out. I have carried a fairly small wallet in my front right pocket for probably 30 years. I'm thinking if I could go more minimalist, that would be awesome. I just need to see if the number of things I "need" would actually fit. I "use" essentially two things - my DL and one CC - but you about have to keep on hand insurance cards, carry permit, and a couple of others. I think it will work. The older I get, the less I need to have.

I have a small wallet, it’s not a Ridge, but a nice leather option. There is space for cards, I have my DL, credit card and Insurance. Money clip I the back. Much smaller than a normal wallet and I carry it in the front pocket.

Of all the trinkets that I got decades ago for standing in various friends' weddings, the one that has endured is a money clip. The date was engraved on one side of the clip and my initials were on the other, after 25 years of handling they've just about worn completely off but the clip still has its form and I'm still carrying it. But I think the still-married couple should buy me a new one.

It shouts about the "RFID-blocking technology," which I'm not convinced is a real thing, but I like the slim fit, definitely front-pocket fitting, and it has a ****-ton of room inside for IDs/credit cards/cash. And it clicks closed, which is a nice feature.

Money clip guy since the late 1990s. License, credit cards, insurance cards, etc. Wrapped in the little amount of cash I carry these days. Always feels secure in my right front pocket.

I carry my keys, drivers license and debit card. That's it. I actually had $50 bucks cash in my hand last weekend; it was the first cash I'd handled in two years.

I used a Ridge-style wallet for about a year. If you're really only carrying a few cards, it works well and keeps things super compact. The build quality is excellent, but there's definitely a learning curve, especially if you're used to flipping open a traditional wallet. I eventually switched back to a slim leather bifold because I needed faster access and didn't love how rigid the Ridge felt in my pocket. But if you value durability and minimalism over flexibility, it's a good option.

There really is only one for me now, Apple Pay/Apple Wallet. My DL is now fully digital (works great at airport). Cash is in trunk of car if needed.

I can’t believe so many people still go with wallets in the back pockets. That’s worse than leaving your front door wide open at 2 a.m. And the folks who put their iPhones in their back pocket…

I quit using the version I bought after not long. I didn't care for the functionality - or lack thereof - of it, and it was dang heavy in my pocket.
I haven't carried one in my back pocket in probably close to 20 years because it started hurting when I sat on it for a long time.

Growing up where I did, the thickness of your wallet and the number of keys you carried were a status symbol. I grew up and got over both.
