I checked in with one of his workers in Mysore City in southern India, 40-year-old G. Sreejayanthi, who puts together Pasadena events listings. She said she had a full-time job in India and didn’t think of herself as a journalist. “I try to do my best, which need not necessarily be correct always,” she wrote back. “Regarding Rose Bowl, my first thought was it was related to some food event but then found that is related to Sports field.”

Well, hell. If that's the case why don't we all just make **** up and call it a day? Forget costs for a minute. Is it going to take a libel suit for these people to realize how harmful this is? Of course, if they don't give a **** about their own industry then that's a different story.

My other question is, if they're covering the Rose Bowl from India then can we cover cricket matches from Missouri?

Check that. Lean Dean doesn't give a damn about journalism. He is quite fine with making stories up as long as his pockets continue to be lined.

Why doesn't NYT just outsource the whole operation to India, leaving one person in the office to turn on the lights in the morning and turn them off at night, just for old time's sake?

Forget about how absolutely ****ing stupid this guy is as a publisher and think about the business aspect in the broader sense: The offshoring of jobs is the root of the financial mess today. People who can't find work can't buy **** to keep the economy going. When will these ****ing morons in charge of these companies realize this?

Forget newspapers and journalism. The offshoring of multiple industries is going to continue to cripple this nation. People aren't going to choose between housing/food and the paper. **** the paper, they'll say. Of course, that continues dooming all of us, but that's the little picture at this point in history.

We're going to be the third-world country within 10 years at this rate. But who gives a **** as long as the CEOs and board members make their millions?
