He'd probably already be dead if he had been jailed at Rikers Island, where a United States attorney’s inquiry found a “deep-seated culture of violence”"

While the inquiry focused only on adolescents, a four-month investigation by The New York Times found that inmates throughout the 10-jail complex — particularly those with mental illnesses — regularly suffered severe injuries at the hands of guards, including broken noses, jaws and bloody wounds requiring suturing.

Over the last five years, use of physical force by officers and supervisors on Rikers inmates has increased by 90 percent, according to the Correction Department. It has continued to climb during the first six months of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration, growing by a third compared with the same period last year.

Ship him over there and see how he fits in with the fellas. :D

And pass the word there's a million-dollar prize for anyone who can plant an ice pick in his neck.

Hinckley is the only high-profile shooter I know of who's been halfway-released, and only because he didn't kill anyone immediately. (That may change soon, now that Brady finally died.)

ADD: Oh yeah, and the two nutjob women who had a go at Jerry Ford in Cali apparently got cut loose.
