Fair enough. Different philosphies on taking charge of your own life.

My dear friend IJAG and I have butted heads over these kinds of issues many times. Must be a generational thing.

OR it's someone who loves you desperately but doesn't understand why you have to be such a judgmental ****.

Yeah, yeah. We've had this discussion many times.
I'm not judgmental. Just my view of life that doesn't jibe with many people here.

Lunch Friday? ;D

To be fair I think it is generational. I think guys my age want others advice. older people are more likely to do it on their own. My dad's 71 and he usually makes decisions exactly like you described earlier.

i'm wondering why you'd want to try real estate in these crappy times. seems like the worst time to get in the biz.

Oh, by the way, I bought a 32-inch HDTV today. Did some research ON MY OWN, went to the place that had the best prices for 2 possible sets I was interested in, looked at both, made a decision.
Sorry, I forgot to come here and ask for some "expert" advice first.

I hope you did not make your decision on how the sets "looked" in the store.

Retailers screw with the settings on their floor TVs to attract attention in the showroom. It's much brighter and more colorful than anything you would actually want to live with on a day-to-day basis. Those in the know call it "torch mode" because if you keep your TV on those settings it will burn out in a few months.

Bet the people at the store didn't tell you that. ;)

It's an exciting business. Real estate is always on the move. Look at Egypt. They moved to Iraq.
