Questionable Super Bowl audio

The first time I remember seeing Flanagan on pregame she seemed really subdued and meandering about something---I wasn't paying close attention, obviously, but it's like someone needed to take her pulse.

Clutchcargo...that's similar to the way I thought she acted yesterday. it was like she didn't have a pulse at times, near comatose...weird.

It could be nerves - I don't remember her ever having a gig as high-profile as the Super Bowl. She's been fine when I've seen her in the past, but it's always been at events that were much, much smaller.

Not a fan of Michaels/Madden. They just seem to miss stuff far too often. For example, they routinely have no idea who recovered a fumble even after the ref has signaled possession. I start wondering if they're even paying attention.

Totally agree on Michaels/Madden.

it's astounding, isn't it? how much they miss?

i thought madden actually had one of his better games in a while -- there were some moments of actual insight. but they just constantly miss critical stuff. it's stunning that a broadcast like that, with the resources they have, can have so many holes

There was so much noise going on at the end of the game in my house that I didn't catch it---was there much Michaels/Madden discussion at the end of the game about whether Warner's arm was going forward on the Cards' last play? I'm not saying it was, but it looked questionable enough to review inside out---refs seemed awfully quick to say it was a fumble.

That discussion is ongoing, and overdone to the point of beating a greasy spot that once was a dead horse, over on Sports & News. It's pointless and stupid. You should check it out.

Warner didn't have control of the ball, so the fact that his arm was moving forward was irrelevant.
