I'd like to see someone who is arrested for prostitution try and challenge the legality of it to the Supreme Court. Not that I'd expect the S.C. to legalize it, given the conservative leanings. But seeing the fact that the Court ruled laws against gay sex are unconstitutional, and that giving money is the equivalent of free speech (campaign-finance laws), someone could argue that since they are consenting adults, they can have sex, and that paying for it is a form of free speech.

Nah. I have this weird fetish where I like for the women I bang to be able to speak English. My buddy who lives over there took me all through the seedy joints. My brain needed steam cleaning after the first night. I really felt sorry for the hookers and their situations over there.

But, my highlight of the trip was a ping-pong show. Yes, one of those. I thrilled the crowd by smacking the ping-pong balls back at her. And she was gunning them from like 15 feet away!

Re the Nevada matter: The state law is that prostitution is legal (as long as it's in a state-regulated brothel) in any county with fewer than 100,000 residents. The only county above the threshold is Clark County, which contains Las Vegas.

It's one of those fragments of knowledge that I've inexplicably retained over the years. It's from a criminology class.

I suppose it theoretically could happen if someone wanted to waste 10 years of his (or her) life on the issue, but even if the court was liberal, in order for a case to even be heard, it would need to be appealed all the way up through the lower courts, since virtually every case that makes it to the Supreme Court do so on appeal. Then six judges would need to agree oral (hee hee!) arguments to hear the case. You can't "try to challenge the legality of prostitution" to the SCOTUS just because you want to.

I know a couple of dudes who have gone to Cuba or Jamaica and been with a prostitute. It weirds me out just to think about it. As Jonesy said in his Cuba story, the girls are pretty hot, until you start thinking about ever sweaty, chubby German tourist mounting them. The main problem with legalizing prostitution is how do you distiguish between the $6,000 an hour Emperor Club employee and the $14 heroin junkie who is sucking **** on the corner because her pimp will only give her a fix if she brings home $50 by the end of the day. How do you say, ok, this is legal, but this isn't?

Most people who have brought up legalizing it suggested liscensing. The model of what is being done in Nevada could also be used.

December 1992, I'm driving through Asbury Park back to the Garden State Parkway to go home after seeing Southside Johnny at the Stone Pony - a night when Bruce Springsteen AND Jon Bon Jovi joined him on stage. I was riding a musical high. Maybe, but there's also the threat of bringing a ladyboy home, as well. While there were scores of hot chicks, you never know which of them are sporting a fauxgina. Seriously, they shave the adams apples, remove ribs, breast augmentation, liposuction...hell of an effort on their part. My buddy could pick 'em out a mile away, though. I just didn't wanna take the risk(s).
